During our tests, we found that the IQ handled pet hair well. It was able to remove lots of debris on floors that were not bare and a good amount of medium-pile rug. It was less efficient with shag carpets, as it was unable to reach dirt and dust buried within the fibers. It did a decent job of navigating chair legs and tight spaces as well as the wooden base of an IKEA step stool. It was a bit slower on floors that were not paved however, it was able to recover speed and performed better than other robots we evaluated.

The IQ is a more suitable option for most users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a bigger dustbin and a longer battery lifespan, and is better at navigating obstacles. It also has mopping attachments that can tackle sticky debris.
